Seville has so much to see and do that it's easy to miss this gem, Casa de Pilatos.

After the Alcazar, it's the city's next most beautiful palace. It dates back to the 16th century and is very well preserved. You'll find amazing courtyards, beautiful manicured gardens, and a stunning tiled interior. And, very few tourists!

Remember to include it on your list of places to visit while you're in Seville.

The statues of prominent kings lining one of the paths in the perfectly manicured Plaza de Oriente in Madrid. The most prominent is the bronze statue of King Felipe IV in the centre of the park.

Plaza de Oriente stands in front of the regal Palacio de Real and is a beautiful spot to wander or just sit and soak up the atmosphere.

We can't resist returning every time we visit Madrid. One of our favourite things to do is to pick up some snacks and a bottle of wine from the Mercado de San Miguel and sit under the shade to enjoy while watching the activity around us.

The joys of pottering about in the back streets of little towns and villages.

It's just one of the benefits of slow travel where you can appreciate the beauty and essence of a country. We find it's much more pleasurable than rushing from one major attraction to another.

This shot was taken in the walled town of Volterra, south of Florence. If you happen to visit Volterra, walk to the lookout on the walls at the end of the town. On a clear day, it's possible to see the island of Corsica in the distance.

We came across this group of ballerinas in front of the Cathedral Maria Santissma Asunta e S.Oronzo in Lecce.

Lecce can be found at the heel of Italy and is an undiscovered Italian jewel. It's an open-air museum full of beautiful Baroque sandstone buildings to be found around every corner.

We took the opportunity to drive beachside for a walk this morning and found many out and about enjoying water activities.

Just a 40-minute drive from Brisbane city, the Redlandshire has a laidback atmosphere, which makes you feel you're miles away on holiday. It's also the gateway to the many beautiful islands dotted along the coastline.

The amphitheatre is one of the world's six largest surviving Roman arenas. It's particularly unique because it's the only Roman amphitheatre that has it for towers preserved.
